Nestled on 4 acres of rural land, Loch Vista is your home-away-from home in beautiful Te Anau. Here you will find comfortable lodgings, warm country hospitality, and all the comforts of home.
- Good off street parking
- Guests are welcome to leave some of their luggage while away for 2 or 3 nights while walking some the tracks.
- Walking access to the lake is approx 1.5 km
- Guests are welcome to hand feed our pet sheep Chubby
- Guests are welcome to view our classic car – a 1959 Ford Thunderbird convertible.
Your host
My name is Phil Smith and I am your live-in host here at Loch Vista. I have lived in the Te Anau area for 40+ years, and recently retired from farming. I have three adult children, one of who remains in the Te Anau area and operates a lobster fishing boat off the Fiordland Coast.
In the past I have been heavily involved in a major river restoration project in the Te Anau area and Landcare in general.
I am really passionate about the Te Anau / Fiordland area and all it has to offer visitors.
I enjoy meeting people and look forward to assisting you when you come and stay.
